Villiers MK12 HS

First engine :)

Well my first engine and won’t be the last. Purchased a fully restored Villiers MK12 HS so I can take to bits and reassemble to learn more and restore one myself at some point. Wanted a Lister D309 to start with as a beginner but due to an injury there’s no way I can shift that weight or with my highly impractical car

Although like many other engines and makers of that era are fascinating to the diversity of their machines from motor bike engines, shells during WWII, allsorts of plant machinery etc. Not as much as Crossley Brothers and Ruston Hornsby did but still played a major part in history. I’m glad I own this one and hope at some point when funds allow connecting it up to a Lister water pump or a generator of some kind to power a light rig.

I’ll update as I go on.
