J.P Hall and Sons LTD No 4960
This little beauty is located at Bradford industrial museum and is converted to run on compressed air.
It’s a vertical single-cylinder direct acting steam pump made by J.P Hall & Sons at Peterborough which the firm was founded in 1899 by John Percy Hall. They made a variety of feed pumps over many years up to the late 19th century. Boiler feed pumps are designed to generate high pressurised water into a steam boiler. Such pumps are typically designed to withstand high inlet pressures and generate large differential pressures typically by a multi stage or side channel pump design. This pump was used for a public baths for the Burton Upon Trent Corporation.
Not right sure on the date of this one so I reckon early 1900’s but I may be wrong, if anyone can help me date it it would be greatly appreciated. It’s number is 4960
